Ballard: Our local gardening-cum-home accent store Home Again (2313 NW Market St.) is moving, based on a giant For Lease sign in its window. Also in its window is an intriguing wooden box of what look like giant Japanese Tinkertoys. The tag says, unhelpfully, “Antique Japanese game” but it looks less like a game and more like a building set. Very cool. Can anyone read Japanese to help me find out more?

Road Trips: Before Seattle International Raceway is passed over to its new owner, there’ll be an auction of all existing assets. I’d love to take away a Christmas Tree, scoring stand, or maybe some piles of old programs. Here’s the link: http://www.murphyauctions.net/sir.html. Also, Takashi Murakami will be exhibiting his “Superflat” style of contemporary art at the Henry Art Gallery now through March 3. You can see examples in Art in America and the current (and previous) cover of Giant Robot magazine. Still can’t figure out why it appeals to me so much. Go and tell me what you think.

Sports: Let’s get this straight. Damien Robinson (S, NYJ) nearly rips the head off Aaron Brooks (QB, NO) and gets fined $20,000. Kyle Terley (T, NO) takes off Robinson’s helmet and wings it skyward and gets fined $25,000 and must take anger management class? Terley protected his teammate. Robinson could have snapped Brooks’ neck. Nice decision, NFL Next you’ll be wanting to contract teams. . . . I believe the latter story was about former Cowboys guard Nate Newton being caught with a 213-pound wad of weed in his Econoline van. That’s a big spliff for a big man.]

Entertainment: I hate to admit it but Fox’s new show “24” isn’t all that bad. Kiefer Sutherland (Flashback and . . .and . . .well, Flashback) is decent, good pace, like the split screens . . .Go ahead, call me a philistine . . . Topps made these cards, but you can’t find anything about them on their site any longer. Apparently, they’re ashamed.
