Tia V. Travis
Canadian Tia V. Travis ("The Kiss," Hours of Darkness) plays guitar for The Franklin Slaughter Ranch and was bassist for Curse of Horseflesh, whose questionable contributions to music
history include (among other things) old-fashioned vinyl 45's and one CD, Burning Up the Jade (Roto-flex), hailed by The Banff Centre for Performing Arts as "a trashy blend of everything that's right." Travis's Hours of Darkness story first appeared in Subterranean Gallery and was reprinted in The Year's Best Fantasy and Horror: Thirteenth Annual Collection. Appearing in 2001 were Travis's first short story collection (Subterranean Press) and another appearance in The Year's Best Fantasy and Horror. She lives in California with her husband, writer Norman Partridge.
