John Shirley

John Shirley is the author of about twenty novels and story collections. He won the Bram Stoker award for best collection for Black Butterflies (Paperback edtion, March 2001 - Leisure Books), which was also chosen by Publisher's Weekly for its list of 'Best books of 1998'. He won the International Horror Guild award for his story "Cram", and he was co-screenwriter of The Crow. He is also the current lyricist for the Blue Oyster Cult (eg, their album Heaven Forbid). His new novel is Demons, forthcoming from Del Rey books, and his story "The Exquisitely Bleeding Heads of Doktur Palmer Vredeez" appears in Hours of Darkness.
