Phoebe Reeves

A native New Englander who relocated to the land of gold and the setting sun, Phoebe Reeves, author of Talking to Shadows, writes about the horror of gods and ghosts and the sadness of trying to return to home and family. A writer, teacher, actor, director, and playwright, Phoebe has had three original magical realism plays performed to sold out houses at The Next Stage in San Francisco.

Phoebe's short fiction has appeared on-line and in print; she’s also written textbooks for Prentice Hall and movie reviews and radio plays for Movie Magazine and Shoestring Radio Theater on NPR. Her day job involves teaching and working with dropout teens as part of YouthBuild. She is the mother of Tessa who, in her mother’s humbly objective opinion, is not only brilliant, but beautiful and the muse for many stories to come.
