G. David Nordley
G. David Nordley writes about the future of human exploration and settlement of space, and his stories typically focus on the dramatic aspects of individual lives within the broad sweep of a (hopefully) plausible human future. His interwoven "stories of a future Mars" are collected in After the Vikings. He also writes scientific nonfiction, inlcuding the Science Q&A column for Speculations. He consults in the field of astronautical engineering, sings in the choir of the Unitarian Universalist Church, and helps organize CONTACT, Cultures of the Imagination. He is a fellow of the British Interplanetary Society, and a senior member of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics. He lives in Sunnyvale, California with his wife, Gayle Wiesner, an Apple Computer programmer.
