Rudy Rucker

One of the founders of the cyberpunk subgenre of science fiction, Rudy Rucker grew up in Louisville, Kentucky, went to Swarthmore College, and got his Master's and Ph.D. in Mathematics at Rutgers. He currently teaches at San Jose State College in California. Rudy's " 'ware" series of cyberpunk novels garnered two Philip K. Dick Awards, and are considered icons of the genre.
